First Spouse Coin Guide was created to provide you with complete and up to date information on the United States Mint’s First Spouse Gold Coins.
Each year starting in 2007, one-half ounce 24 karat gold coins are issued to honor the spouse of each President. The release dates follow the order of the Presidency, with the series running until at least 2016 depending on the final number of Presidential Dollars released.
These coins have featured an interesting variety of designs, and sometimes enticingly low mintages. While the series does not rival the broad popularity or other gold coins, there are a number of collectors who believe that the First Spouse Gold Coins present an excellent long term opportunity.
This website provides information on the release dates, original issue prices, and final mintages for each coin of the series. Large sized images of each coin are also included.
